She’s been named GQ magazine’s #1 Hottest Woman of the 21st Century and more photos have been released from the shoot with GQ magazine.

Here’s a few highlights from her cover story:

“I worked so hard during my childhood to meet this goal: By the time I was 30 years old, I could do what I want,” she says. “I’ve reached that. I feel very fortunate to be in that position. But I’ve sacrificed a lot of things, and I’ve worked harder than probably anyone I know, at least in the music industry. So I just have to remind myself that I deserve it.”
On how her career compares to a professional athlete’s

“One of the reasons I connect to the Super Bowl is that I approach my shows like an athlete,” she says now. “You know how they sit down and watch whoever they’re going to play and study themselves? That’s how I treat this. I watch my performances, and I wish I could just enjoy them, but I see the light that was late. I see, ‘Oh God, that hair did not work.’ Or ‘I should never do that again.’ I try to perfect myself. I want to grow, and I’m always eager for new information.”

On how performing gives her life
“I love my job, but it’s more than that: I need it.  Because before I gave birth, it was the only time in my life, all throughout my life, that I was lost.” She means this in a good way: When her brain turns off, it is, frankly, a relief. After drilling herself, repeating every move so many times, locking them in, she can then afford not to think. “It’s like a blackout. When I’m onstage, I don’t know what the crap happens. I am gone.”

Talking to herself during a revealing video clip

“Stop pretending that I have it all together.  If I’m scared, be scared, allow it, release it, move on. I think I need to go listen to ‘Make Love to Me’ and make love to my husband.”

Solange on her sister’s perfectionist ways

“I have very, very early-on memories of her rehearsing on her own in her room. I specifically remember her taking a line out of a song or a routine and just doing it over and over and over again until it was perfect and it was strong. At age 10, when everybody else was ready to say, ‘Okay, I’m tired, let’s take a break,’ she wanted to continue—to ace it and overcome it.”

2

Beyonce on the inequalities of money between men and women

“You know, equality is a myth, and for some reason, everyone accepts the fact that women don’t make as much money as men do. I don’t understand that. Why do we have to take a backseat?” she says in her film, which begins with her 2011 decision to sever her business relationship with her father. “I truly believe that women should be financially independent from their men. And let’s face it, money gives men the power to run the show. It gives men the power to define value. They define what’s sexy. And men define what’s feminine. It’s ridiculous.”

On channeling anger to perform
“I used to like when people made me mad, “I’m like, ‘Please piss me off before the performance.’ I used to use everything.”

Beyonce Covers GQ Magazine

Guess who’s back?

The year 2013 definitely belongs to Beyonce. Not only did she snag the cover of the February issue of men’s GQ magazine, her adorable angel Blue Ivy just turned 1, she’ll be singing the national anthem at the Inauguration of President Barack Obama, she’s set to perform during the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show, has an album in the works and many more.

beyBeyonce paraded her killer curves in a leopard print underwear and a cropped baseball tee for the racy cover. She may have welcomed Blue Ivy only a year ago but she is proving to be hotter than ever!

Displaying not even the merest hint of a mum tum, the superstar completed her cover girl look with a touch of bling in the form of a chunky gold necklace and a dangling navel adornment.

Positively smouldering as she pulled her most seductive post towards the camera, Beyonce ran her hands through her hair, which fell in loose, tumbling waves around her shoulders.

“Luxury Sweet Candy”

I just came across a superb Nigerian label desiginer Iconic Invanity who just launched a candy-themed Spring/Summer 2013 collection  Luxury Sweet Candy”. The collection is full of vibrant colors;from sorbets and sherbet palettes to every hue you can think of from a candy store-thus the name.

Who Rocked It? Porsha vs Jennifer

The fit of this Victoria Beckham dress is so identical on these two fashionistas, we almost didn’t notice they were wearing different shoes!!!!! Jennifer Hudson went for black booties while the newest addition to the Real Housewives of Atlanta Porsha Stewart took the red route and rocked some sparkly Louboutins.

DesktopThere’s so much similarities here from the curly hair to the body type, to the single bracelets, so you be the judge…….

Trendy or Tacky?

Ladies of the ratchet show Love & Hip hop are taking fashion to a whole new level (not in a good way).

They put up such a show at the premiere party of Love & Hip hop season 3 red carpet, leaving nothing to the imagination.

Did I mention that it’s WINTER time?

0Erica Mena took sheer to a ratchet level, covering only the bare essentials. I’m surprised she was able to walk, pose and sit without a wardrobe malfunction.

2Joe Budden’s new girlfriend Kaylin Garcia must have left the house in a hurry forgetting to wear either the bra or top she had intended to wear with this ensemble. #coveringface

1Joe Budden’s ex-girlfriend Tahiry Jose must have received the same memo…the dress is backless too.

Anyway, “they” say any publicity is good publicity…..not that I agree with “them”!

On leaving American Idol

I’m not a judge for a living,” she explains. “I’m a singer. I’m a dancer. I’m a performer. I’m an actress. That’s what I’m supposed to be doing. It makes me a better parent, a better person.” As for the demented schedule, “I think I can just handle more than the average bear, you know?”

s much more comforting.” She characterizes her mental age as “16 to 18. That’s when I became the person that I am. Even though I didn’t realize the whole journey I would go on, I still feel all that youthfulness.”

When it comes to Smart, her personable dancer-choreographer beau, who is balancing Max on his lap, she says, “He’s fantastic; he’s like my best friend. I can tell him everything, when I’m feeling down, when I’m feeling good. He gives moral support, endless love and support.”

Marlo Hampton Covers DENIM Magazine

1The most fashionable (former) Real Housewives Of Atlanta cast member Ms Marlo Hampton is flaunting her fashion sense in the Winter Holiday Issue of DENIM Magazine.

The socialite and fashionista sat down for a Q & A with the mag about her fashion loves, her fashion bible and her fashion secrets……..

2

What designers can you not live without?
“I think this may be sort of obvious, and a little birdie might have let you know… all things CHANEL. I am very partial to their clothes because CoCo Chanel was an Orphan. I can relate to that. She didn’t have parents to raise her, but look at what she’s overcome. Her story reminds me of mine. She had humble beginnings but Chanel is the Queen of Fashion, all of their pieces are classy and timeless!

What designer would you want to collaborate with on a collection? Would it be high end or price friendly?

“I would love to work with the designers of J. Crew. Their pieces are simply stunning and they have a good mix of everything. Our collection would be what I call “Fashion Affordable.” Nice pieces, for an affordable price, with great style, trend but quality material. There would be something for everyone. We all deserve a piece of Marlo.”

4

So what or who made you love fashion as a teen?

“As a teen I was in and out of foster care; so having the best fashion was something that seemed unattainable. I didn’t win Best Dressed, but I understood at an early age I couldn’t afford certain kinds of clothing when I was growing up. But, what I do remember about my mother was that she loved nice things. At times, when we did get clothes; we would get them from a second hand store. And she always kept us clean and extremely polished.

How many handbags do you have?

“Now that is a tough question. I haven’t counted, but I do know too many for sure … actually, I take that back; a girl can never have too many bags”!

3

What is the most you have ever spent on a bag or was gifted?

“I am always working on my etiquette, lol and a lady never tells prices unless you want to buy one yourself. However, my crocodile Hermes Birkin is my most expensive handbag”!

What fashion accessories does a women need to be fabulous?

“The one accessory that EVERY women needs to be Fabulous is CONFIDENCE. it’s the one accessory that’s Priceless. Money can’t buy it and as long as you wear that; nothing else matters”!

Would you ever give your daughter or son a Birkin bag?

“I would absolutely gift my daughter one under one condition, that it was EARNED! A Birkin is way too expensive just to “give” so if she earned a college degree, was getting married, or achieved a milestone in her life worthy of such a nice bag”

Every woman deserves at least one nice bag whether it’s a Birkin or another bag of their choice.

5

Like most other women around the world is Vogue magazine your second bible?

“Hmmm, while Vogue is an amazing magazine which I read monthly, I would have to say it’s a fair toss-up between Harper’s Bazaar and Elle. Let’s just consider each publication as a different book in the fashion bible.”

What was your first high-end buy?

“My first high-end buy would probably have to be a Gucci bag in college. It was very special at the time because I worked for it, saved my money and bought it!

Since we are in your closet right now give me one fashion secret that you can’t live without?

“ELECTRICAL TAPE. It’s an instant breast lift without surgery. Makes your Breasts look real nice and perky”!

Best Dressed Stars at the EMMYS

The hair, the glamor, the glitter, the gowns…..see who made the cut for the most outstanding looks this year.

The usual winner Sofia Vergara did not disappoint this year either. She dazzled in a teal open-back Zuhair Murad gown that hugged her curves in all the right places.

Nicole Kidman turned heads in a white Antonio Berardi column gown with dramatic blue beading, matching Christian Louboutin heels and neutral makeup.

Kerry Washington was all glittery in a sequined Vivienne Westwood rose-gold gown. Wish she could have done her hair differently though.

I’m surprised I’m adding Tina Fey here! She up’d her game in this curve-hugging, super-glam deep red Vivienne Westwood gown with an embellished neckline. Keep it up Tina.

Orange was one of the night’s hottest colors – and no one looked hotter in it than the Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi, who wore a rich tangerine Monique Lhuillier gown with Fred Leighton jewels and Brian Atwood heels.

January Jones stunned in this dramatic black Zac Posen gown which she paired with matching Christian Louboutin heels.

Nancy O’Dell looked breathtaking in this orange/red gown with a dramatic white bow across the shoulders.

Morena Baccarin was simple yet chic in this strapless gray gown with a plunging neckline.

Eva Longoria’s ALMA Awards Wardrobe

Petite Desperate Housewives star hosted the ALMA awards last night and as usual, broke the wardrobe record by having a total of 10 wardrobe changes. The changes may seem excessive, but after seeing each wow-worthy dress, we can understand why the co-host couldn’t choose just one.

She walked the red carpet in this Monique Lhuillier gown with a prim silhouette and conservative neckline and a thigh-high slit.

Making the the case for the continued reign of the hot citrus hue, she shows off her figure in a second-skin dress while taking the stage with cohost George Lopez.

She’s all smiles in a rich raspberry number with a full train and flirty, feathery pink embellishment at the bust.

She was all shimmery in her fourth gown of the night which was a long-sleeve, crew-neck Emilio Pucci gown with sheer slits.

She was a total knock out in this white halter column dress which she simplified with minimal accessories.

At the other end of the spectrum is this stunner: a crisscross golden Carlos Miele creation that shows off the actress’s killer stems.

Proving she’s the queen of floor-length dresses that still allow her to flaunt her legs, she changed into a Maria Lucia Hohan gown, featuring a miniskirt with an ethereal sheer overlay.

Proving that she’s still the host, she displays her enviable stems (yet again) in an Alberta Ferretti gown with a translucent skirt, leaving the rest of her look simple.

Back in another major look, Eva makes a sweeping entrance in a sculptural Angel Sanchez gown complete with a train, plus dazzling studs and center-parted strands.

Must have been fun playing dress-up!
