Black to the Rescue:The Little Black Dress

Got a last-minute date/party/event or just a special occasion and can’t decide what to wear? Well, you can never go wrong with a Little Black Dress. The little black dress is the most essential basic for every woman’s wardrobe as it’s the simplest way to get a last-minute classy and sophisticated look. Believe it or not, just one LBD can be used to achieve many styles and looks, depending on the occasion.

For a daytime look, you can top it off with a cute blazer, opaque tights and simple accessories.

For a night in or out-of-town, instead of the opaque tights, you can let the legs go bare or spice it up with sheer or fishnet stockings and a pair of sexy stilettos. You can also add some flashy accessories from dangling earrings, to statement necklaces to bracelets to clutches.

Accent with color

Also feel free to accent your LBD with color; these can be in the form of a colored belt, scarf, headband or tights.Decide on an accessory color and match up all the accessories. Don’t go overboard with the colors, one or two achieves a better contrasting look.

Dress it up

A simple LBD can be accessorized in different ways to achieve a different look every time. You can take it a step further by adding pearls, detailed or fishnet stockings and/or a classy clutch to dress it up.

Dress it down

Surprisingly enough, we do not need to dress up a LBD every time we rock it. For a weekend with the girls, you can choose to throw on a simple hat or flats instead of a sleek hair-do or stilettos to dress it down and achieve a simpler look.

Bottom line: There are millions of ways to rock a Little Black Dress, your only limitation is your I.M.A.G.I.N.A.T.I.O.N
